The Moose Lodge - September 29, 2001

This was our first gig. We hadn't even decided on a name for the group and somehow ended up appearing as Mid-Life Crisis. This name was too painfully close to the truth. We shared the stage that night with Brothers at Lodge - the lodge's official house band.

A medium size crowd showed up with ages ranging from 6 to 60. Our entourage included our families and friends making it a real family affair. Since this event occured just after the September 11th tragedy there was a poignancy in the air that colored the evening. There was a lot of red, white and blue in evidence and when the Brothers played America the Beautiful everyone was on their feet.

Maybe we were all just a bit ready to shake off our recent funk and show that our American spirit was alive and well. But whatever the reason everyone danced and had a pretty damn good time.

In between songs refueling on Coronas.

Back in action. (And no the sax on the right was not ours)
